Mr. Heaney provides supervision for all technical operations of Walden Associates to insure compliance with our client's goals. He has managed environmental compliance audits for industrial clients and law firms and also provided consultation to major construction contractors on health and safety planning and environmental compliance. Mr. Heaney has designed soil and groundwater remediation systems, water and wastewater treatment systems. He has extensive background in the design of corrective action projects with failed under and above ground storage tanks, has taught seminars on state and federal UST (Underground Storage Tank) regulations. Mr. Mostert oversees the daily operations at Walden Associates. Mr. Mostert is also responsible for the overall coordination and management of the Geographic Information System (GIS) department for the firm. He supports his clients by evaluating their needs and making sound and affordable recommendations for their GIS programs. He coordinates, implements, and manages all GIS projects, and oversees GIS database design, GIS data digitizing, cartographic products, GIS custom tool development, and electronic record management systems. He is also in charge of managing the environmental computer modeling services for the firm including three dimensional computer site models, groundwater contour maps, contaminant iso-concentration maps, remedial design and regulatory presentations. Mr. McEachern is a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) with over 40 years of experience in government, consulting, contracting and educating. Mr McEachern is Walden's senior geologist and serves as both doer and mentor to Walden staff regarding complex hydrogeologic issues. Mr. McEachern has had a diverse career as a hydrogeologist, applied geophysicist, and environmental expert, serving private, institutional, and government clients. He has expanded his professional horizons by continuing education in new field investigative and analytical techniques, including vapor intrusion and groundwater modeling. His projects have taken him throughout the United States, the Caribbean and Canada. A brief cross-section of his project experience includes regional groundwater studies, water supply development and protection, contamination assessments and remediation. He has been an expert witness and provided environmental litigation support. Mr. McEachern is a past president of the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) Northeast Section representing geologists in New York, New Jersey and all New England states. He is currently involved in developing new water intake applications for the power industry to increase energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact using a patented horizontal intake well system. Ms. Scroope is an environmental engineering project manager and head of our Suffolk county office. Ms. Scroope has over 11 years of experience in remediation/remedial design, subsurface investigations, and environmental site assessments (ESAs), including Phase I, Phase II & Phase III ESAs, as well as underground storage tank (UST)/above ground storage tank (AST), petroleum spill, and underground injection control (UIC) closure assessments. Additional areas of technical specialties include NY State Superfund, regulatory compliance, petroleum/chemical storage compliance, remedial system construction oversight and preparation of engineering bid documents. She graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1998 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Major in Engineering Science, Environmental Engineering Specialization) and subsequently completed an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Waste Management from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2005. Mr. Brighton has over 5 years experience in designing, installing, and maintaining underground storage systems, chemical storage systems, soil and groundwater remediation systems. He has experience in RCRA compliance work, chemical storage compliance, UST spills and corrective action projects. Mr. Brighton corresponds with the clients and negotiates with the applicable regulatory agencies. Mr. Brighton is also a certified NYS Asbestos Inspector.
