It is the goal of each environmental remediation project
to achieve closure with the involved regulatory agencies.
Walden works closely with the applicable agency to
define cost effective remedial goals - "when to stop".
Because of the uncertainties involved with subsurface
remediation, final closure is often an elusive target.
While many of our projects are being managed to control
costs as the move toward closure, Walden has often
found that aggressive in-situ short duration approaches
often best control long
term costs.
Remedial design services are provided relating to
the full definition of contamination migration in
soil and groundwater, used where possible of in-situ
cost-effective remedial technology, engineering, design,
construction, and operational and maintenance services.
Walden has designed bioremediation, pump and treat,
product recovery systems (passive and active) and
soil vapor extraction combined with or without sparging
treatment systems. This experience allows Walden to
select the most appropriate and cost-effective remedial
technology for a given application.
