What is a Phase II Assessment?
The Phase II Environmental Assessment is conducted to
physically confirm the presence or absence of environmental
contamination at a site. It is not meant to determine
the nature and extent of contamination. The Phase II environmental
assessment should include, but is not limited to, collecting
samples (soil, drywell, septic system, sediment or groundwater),
laboratory analysis of samples and visual confirmation
of environmental contamination at the property.
